Coaching Philosophy:
My coaching philosophy is focused in three main areas, the skills needed to excel at the game itself, the intangible areas such as leadership and motivation, and enjoyment of the game. Hockey is a game that affords kids of all ages the opportunity to develop not only hockey skills but life skills that will serve them well beyond the hockey rink.
A central key to all of this is conveying regularly, through a combination of demanding, but fair, coaching practices, the commitment required to achieve successful results, whether in the standings or in a player’s own personal skill set such as shooting, skating, leadership, or off-ice conditioning.
Relationship-building with players and parents is also critical so players may get the most out of their development and know there is support for their goals and aspirations.
