Letter From The President

The new season for the Dallas Scots Hockey Association has begun and we are off to a great start. The teams have all been very dedicated to the development program we have in place for the season and have shown continual improvement. We, as an organization, are committed to provide the players with the best training and conditioning as possible. As most of you know we have added a few new things to the program this season. In addition to the Skills night practices, we have added power skate sessions, improved dry-land and off ice training, a more dedicated goalie training program, the addition of many new training aids and the addition of more specialized coaches. We are going to stay committed to growing and improving every player we have and concentrate on improving each and every player through a well-planned program.

As of this season the Dallas Scots have opened a world-class training facility with all the equipment to improve every aspect of a player’s development and to prepare them to be more competitive than in years past. We are going to continue to add to the training aids we have at the facility and strive to continually improve our program there as well.

As the season continues, I will be asking for you to please help us as we are continually looking for ways to improve our hockey program and encourage all your comments and suggestions throughout our season. We need feedback from players and parents to help us find areas of improvement and new ideas.

It’s an exciting time to be a Scot, and we are looking forward to a very successful season. We are excited to see all of you here and growing with us, as we grow the sport of hockey in North Texas.

If you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at ewade@dallasscots.com or you may reach me by phone: 972-679-4203.

Sincerely,
Eric L. Wade
President

This is for all teams to be aware of...

All,

Here is the link to take the baseline concussion test. After the kids answer a few questions there is a dropdown box that has the organizations. However we are not listed so please choose "OTHER". Texas Heath Sports Network is making the test FREE for hockey players. This test is taken and the results are saved. If the player receives a head injury, they can retake the test to check for concussion symptoms.

What do you think about the new rule changes?
