THANKS TO EVERYONE

The Dallas Scots Hockey Association would like to thank all the players, parents and coaches that attended the tryouts last weekend.

Congratulations to all the players that were offered a contract and decided to be a Scot this year. We are excited to have you as part of our organization. We had a fantastic turnout and we appreciate the numerous people that helped recruit.

Thank you.

Also, most importantly we would like to thank the endless volunteers that helped make the tryouts worth while. Without your support and eagerness to help it would have not been as successful with out you all.

Thank you.

Now that the tryouts are behind us and we look forward there are new exciting things happening with the Scots Association. We are glad to have you on board and we encourage you to get involved. It takes the help of everyone working together to make the Scots the highest quality youth hockey program in North Texas.

Glory Road...

An unlikely group of boys with varying talents and abilities find success and victory as they come together to produce the best success story of the 2007-2008 North Texas Hockey League Season.

With each tournament they played, they kept getting better and better. Eventually their hard work paid off, and they were able to place 4th in the President’s Day Tournament held in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This was a huge accomplishment as they played against some of the best teams from Canada and North America. Their work was not done. Climbing the ladder in league play, they fell short of a play-off bye. Clinching the Quarter-finals round 4-0-0, this wild card team was ready to move on. Keeping their focus, they took one game at a time defeating San Antonio and the DSAS Canadiens and were able to pull off a huge win against the regular season division champions, Odessa, which earned them the right to play in the NTXHL  Finals. Though they gave all they had, they were not able to defeat Tulsa in the Final round, losing both games 2-1.  Congratulations go to the Tulsa Flames as NTXHL division Champions. This Scots team took runner-up with a smile!

The Scots PeeWee B team set the standard of how individuals become one unit; a true team worthy of greatness. The boy’s desire for excellence pushed them through some of the most grueling and challenging training both on and off the ice. They never quit. They never gave up. The desire, dedication, determination, and character of each boy exemplifies who we all want to be; what the Scots are all about. Congratulations Boys! You deserve your glory! You are Scots!

If you don't have a Reward card, please consider getting one and use it each time you buy groceries at Tom Thumb. It will save you money, earn air miles, rent videos, enter contests all while supporting the Scots!

It will not impact any other numbers you may already have on your card, Of course, this is at no cost to you. We will receive 1% of your purchases quarterly.  This is a great fundraising mechanism for the Scots.

A special thanks goes to PeeWee mom Lori Pillar for getting this program set up for us.

Congratulations to our Mite team for taking 2nd place at the NYTEX Community Classic tournament held this past MLK weekend.

Our l'il Mites advanced to the Championship match after an outstanding game against the Stonebriar Select team.  The Scots came back from a 2 goal deficit and to tie the game send it in to over time.  In OT they completed the come back with some outstanding grit to bring home the win for the SCOTS!  Great job boys!
